Hey all Redmi 2/Prime owner great news for all, there is a great root method for rooting the Redmi 2/prime in just one click. There is no more complication to root nor you have to use Pc your Mobile device is Just Enough for the all Job done .
What’s New in this Method is that there are also other methods to root your device but if you root by that method you will never recieve the OTA updates (Software Updates) which is very bad thing .But In this Method There will be no OTA Break means that you will always recieve the updates.If you follow the steps you can succesfully root your Device.
Caution:
This is a safe process, but I am not responsible for anything bad that happens to your phone.
In most cases this approach of rooting should not block OTA updates.
Prerequisites:
Redmi 2/Prime Stable/Developer Global ROM.
Stock MI-Recovery 2.0.1 (You already have it)
Root.zip File

So lets start.
Step 1:Download the Root.zip and Copy the file to the folder ‘Internal storage’ (root of internal storage)
Step 2:Open the Updater app, Press the 3 dots at Right Top Corner, A menu will open. Tap on “Choose Update Package“ and select the Root.zip File.
Step 3:Wait untill Device reboots
Step 4:After reboot a new app SuperSu will be installed.
Step 5:Open the app and Choose”Continue”.
Step 6:Choose “Normal”, Don’t Choose TWRP/CWM, device will go into Boot Loop.
Step 7: After sucessful updation , press ok. (Better if you reboot it)
You have now Succesfully Rooted your Device and have the Root Permissions.
To verify your Root You can download Root Checker from GooglePlay.
Steps To be followed after rooting for getting OTA Updates .
1.open SuperSu app and navigate to setting.
2.Select “Enable Pro”(It will ask to restart after click on it just restart and again follow these steps)
3. Go to SuperSu setting Select the “Survival mode” (just tick on)
4.Scrool down and select “Enable during Boot”.

To Unroot
To UnRoot Your device Simply Go to SuperSU app and scroll down and you’ll see “Fully Unroot” option Click On It to fully unroot.
